Who are you?
We are part of Abhisam Software, a young startup, providing e-learning courses on a variety of subjects (not just on RFID), to professionals all over the world. Our customers include individuals, organizations and companies (of all sizes, including Fortune 500 ones).
Are you RFID vendors?
No, we are not. We do not sell or install RFID tags, readers, equipment or software. We are only engaged in training and learning. This means we can offer you an unbiased, vendor-neutral training experience.
Why are you offering this free RFID course?
We feel that many people have a curiosity of learning more about RFID but cannot find more information easily, even on the internet. If you type "RFID" in Google, you will come up with millions of results. It is impractical to visit all these sites and still remain clear headed after a while. Books are available, but many of them require a degree in rocket science to understand (we're just kidding, but you must have got the point, they are full of technical mumbo jumbo).
For the busy professional who wants to know something about RFID, our free RFID course is the answer.
What's in the free RFID course?
No, the free RFID course is not just a collection of old Power Point slides or a bunch of documents, masquerading as a course. It is a regular e-learning course. It means it has rich text, Flash based animations to explain key concepts, graphics and a self assessment test at the end.
What's the game? Why are you giving it away free?
There is no game or any catch. We are giving it away free, as we would want to spread basic knowledge about RFID to as many people as possible.
We also have an advanced RFID course, which is not free but a paid course. If you feel you would like to learn beyond what is given in the free RFID course, you are welcome to enroll in the paid version. The paid version is of course much bigger and comprehensive than the free RFID course. However, it does not cost as much as a regular RFID classroom course or as much as a technical book. Prices start at just $ 69 US for a single learner.
What's so different in your free RFID course from the other people who are also offering free RFID courses?
Note the differences with others, who may offer free courses:
1. We are not RFID vendors or system integrators. We do not want to "pitch" any particular technology to you. Our course is unbiased and vendor-neutral.
2. We give you the free RFID course directly, to be downloaded to your hard disk drive. You are granted a perpetual license to retain it and view it (subject to details in the license agreement).
3. This free RFID course is a regular e-learning course, full of content, rich media and tests. It is not somebody's stale power point presentation, nor a You Tube video.
4. We have no restrictions on your email id. We do not require any information from you like your company, address or other personal details. We do not restrict users with "free email ids" (like Yahoo or Hotmail) from accessing the free RFID course.
What's the difference between the free course (which you are giving away) and your regular RFID course?
The free RFID course is meant to give you an overview of the technology. This does not mean that it is just a few pages, though. It should take about 45 minutes to complete.
The regular RFID course, on the other hand is much more comprehensive and covers almost all aspects of RFID technology, without being complex to understand. The regular RFID course can take about 3-4 hours to complete at a stretch. Find out more here.
